Developmental Screening
Provider: DREW CALWORKS ALTERNATIVE PAYMENT PROGRAM - STAGE 1
The agency provides mental health services for children and youth age birth to 18 in Los Angeles County. Services include developmental screening, infant and early childhood mental health, psychiatric case management, mental health evaluations, and telephone crisis intervention. For psychiatric treatment, children must meet medical necessity requirements and have a DSM axis one diagnosis. Age restrictions apply; there are no geographic restrictions.

A screening tool, Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ or ASQ-SE), is administered by a multi-disciplinary team in the clinic setting, client's home, or preschool location. Parents are then provided with the results and recommendations for further services and/or offered education in strategies in working with their child on their skills deficits.
Treatment services include individual and family therapy, Dyadic therapy, Play-based therapy, parenting education, infant/early childhood mental health consultation, outpatient mental health services, and medication monitoring and support. Staff are trained in Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
Staff provide in-home, outpatient, and school-based services including assessment, crisis intervention, therapy, medication support, and referrals for additional care.
