Professional Continuing Education (Sexually Exploited Children)

The agency provides child protective services in the United States and overseas. Services include child kidnapping alert programs, information clearinghouses, missing persons location assistance targeted to youth, organizational development and management services, professional continuing education, and public awareness/education. There are no geographic restrictions.
Innocence Lost is a national initiative to address the issue of domestic sex trafficking of children in the United States. The agency operates a national hotline to accept tips and provide basic information about child abduction and exploitation, and provide assistance in the handling of situations that involve sexual exploitation, child pornography, and child sex trafficking.
Technical assistance specializations and training is provided for law enforcement and social service organizations on the subject of child abduction and exploitation.
The agency also produces publications about resources for missing and exploited children, parental kidnapping, and national child protection legislation.
In addition, the program offers education and prevention programs for professionals and community groups and helps to organize information networks; it coordinates the exchange of information about child abduction and exploitation nationally among agencies, community groups, the public and the media; and it distributes pictures and information about specific missing children.

Application Procedure
Call the 800 number to report information that can lead to the location and recovery of a missing child, or to report a missing child or any instance of child exploitation. Information, reporting and forms to request materials are available online at www.missingkids.com.
