Transitional Housing/Shelter
Provider: A NEW WAY OF LIFE RE-ENTRY PROJECT
The agency provides housing services for formerly incarcerated women and their children in Los Angeles County. Services include sober living homes and transitional housing/shelter for ex-offenders. The agency owns five houses. There are no geographic restrictions.
Women are placed in supportive housing which may include help with substance abuse issues and case management as part of the comprehensive re-entry program. Staff assist women with meeting the conditions of their parole or probation, including providing transportation. Residents meet weekly for house-related business, and attend community 12-step meetings to maintain sobriety. Services include but are not limited to a drug and alcohol free environment, case management, family reunification and leadership development.
