Anger Management
Provider: GREEN THUMB AV YOUTH PROGRAM
The agency provides family life education for at risk families, youth and young adults who live in the Antelope Valley. Services include advocacy for legal issues; anger management; community service work programs for adolescents and young adults; court ordered parenting programs; specialized information and referral; spouse/intimate partner abuse counseling for the victim and the abuser; alcohol and drug use disorder counseling; and wraparound services.
Specialized information and referral for at risk families includes referrals for food, clothing, family reunification programs and housing to community service agencies.
Court ordered parenting classes, anger management classes, domestic violence classes and alcohol and drug classes are 12 weeks or can be 52 weeks.
Court mandated community service work programs are for youth ages 10 to 17 and young adults ages 18 to 25. Service work is at this agency and other community agencies.
Legal advocacy can be for families or individuals and can be for eviction, child custody, probate and small claims.
The agency also provides cultural holistic wraparound services to assist families in the community including homeless services, reentry services, gang reduction intervention prevention, legal advocacy, and housing resources.
