The agency provides Medicare Information/Counseling for Los Angeles County. There are no geographic restrictions.

The Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP) provides counseling services to individuals with Medicare including older adults and individuals with disabilities. The agency assists individuals, families, and caregivers with navigating Medicare, Medi-Cal, and other related programs. Topics include understanding healthcare coverage, program enrollment, healthcare treatment education, and problem resolution when accessing health care. Services include one-on-one counseling and education, community education and outreach through presentations and events, and legal assistance for applicable partipants. The agency also acts as a Benefits Enrollment Center assisting Medicare beneficiaries with applications for Medi-Cal and Cal-Fresh.

Services are also available in 230+ languages via language line interpretation.
