Congregate Meals/Nutrition Sites

The center provides services for older adults age 50 and older who live in the Long Beach area. Services include congregate meals/nutrition sites, health screening/diagnostic services, recreational activites/sports, recreational/leisure/arts instruction, specialized information and referral and tax information. Services are targeted, but not restricted, to Long Beach residents.

The center provides forms assistance with city utility tax refunds and exemptions and renter's and homeowners assistance and basic health screening.

Recreational activities include Bingo, card games, movies and various trips and tours. Also, a cardio room and weight room are available.

The center offers several classes such as Spanish, computer literacy, crafts, quilting, knitting, jewelry and aerobics. In addition, the center sponsors speakers and special events.

Congregate meals are served for adults 62 years and older five days per week. No accommodation is made for special diets; reservations are required 24 hours in advance.
