Professional Continuing Education
Provider: PERSONAL ASSISTANCE SERVICES COUNCIL
The agency provides education services for the In-Home Support Services providers and potential consumers of IHSS services in Los Angeles County. Services include consumer education on older adult/aging isssues, and professional continuing education for in-home providers. There are no geographic restrictions.
The program provides several educational seminars on topics related to the complexities of the IHSS system, as well as problems and solutions faced by both consumer and provider. In addition, the agency has developed a training cuirriculum for personal in-home support service providers, even though one is not required by the state.
