Educational Testing
Provider: KAISER PERMANENTE - WATTS COUNSELING AND LEARNING CENTER
The center provides services for youth who live in Watts, including children who are not Kaiser Health Plan members. Services include educational therapy and work preparation workshops. Participants must live or go to school within a 6 mile radius of the center.
The educational programs include individual and small group educational therapy sessions on a twice weekly basis for students age 7 to 18 who have learning disabilities. Educational evaluation, testing, advocacy and parent training are also available.
The center is also involved in community outreach activities which include individual and group counseling at local schools; summer activities; and a youth program which includes work preparation, SAT preparation, scholarship search assistance, reading enrichment, homework help club for elementary students, and group personal development mentoring for middle school students.
