The district provides extended day care, a State preschool, Universal Preschool and a family child care network for children in the Claremont Unified School District and families in surrounding areas. There are income restrictions for the State preschool program. There are no geographic restrictions in the State preschool program.

Extended day care is provided at seven elementary school sites. Activities include art, computers, cooking, dramatic arts, field trips, organized games, outdoor play and nutritional snacks. The Latchkey child care is also provided at three campuses for income eligible families.

The State Preschool program is available to children ages three to five who are potty trained and is available to income eligible families. Classes are offered three hours in the morning or afternoon.

Universal Preschool program is available for income eligible families with children ages 4 who are potty trained. It is a three and a half hour educational program which is available mornings and afternoons. The program is offered at Mountain View Elementary School. Families must reside in Los Angeles County.

Family Child Care Network program is for income eligible families with infants and toddlers ages birth to three years. The child care is provided in licensed family child care homes.
