Pediatrics (Low Income)

Contract clinic services include outpatient health services for uninsured, low-income Los Angeles County residents of all ages, including General Relief recipients. It provides primary general medical care. Applicant's household income must be at or below 134% of federal poverty guidelines, or who are GR recipients.
CHDP provides regular, preventive health assessments and developmental assessments for children from birth to age 21 who are Medi-Cal eligible and for children from birth through age 18 whose family income is less than 200% of the federal poverty level. The check-ups are offered at set intervals and may include the required Head Start or State Preschool and pre-first grade exams.
The program provides smoking cessation for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and HIV smokers. The center is a partner with www.lastdragla.com. This is a smoking cessation program consisting of six 2 hour sessions that is sponsored by the L A County Tobacco Control and Prevention Program. The program is facilitated by clinic leaders certified by the American Lung Association. There are no geographic restrictions.
