Adoption Services

The agency provides foster care services for children age birth to 17 years old and families throughout Los Angeles County. Services include adoptive family recruitment, adoption services, family preservation program, foster parent/family recruitment, foster home placement, and foster care for dependent children. Children must be placed through DCFS. Age restrictions apply; there are no geographic restrictions.

A social worker is assigned to each individual child and provides case management and support services as needed. Children may receive counseling and tutoring; a special program called Adventure Based Counseling provides experiential learning, outdoor education, group counseling, and intrapersonal exploration.

An emancipation program that provides independent living skills training is available for teens who are aging out of the foster care system.

The agency recruits, trains and certifies foster parents and adoptive parents of all ages. Prospective parents must complete first aid and CPR training.
