The consulate is the representative office for the country of Japan in Southern California and Arizona. Services include consulates/foreign government representatives and passports. There are no geographic restrictions.

The consulate develops and protects the economic interest of Japan and looks after the welfare of Japanese citizens who may be traveling or residing in the United States. The consulate provides assistance in granting passports and birth, death and marriage registration services for citizens of Japan residing in its jurisdiction. Service also includes issuing visas for foreign nationals who require them to when traveling to Japan.
