Occasional Emergency Food Assistance (Older Adults)
Provider: SALVATION ARMY SAN GABRIEL CORPS
The program provides occasional emergency food assistance for older adults 60 years and older who are in Alhambra, Arcadia, Azusa, Duarte, Monrovia, Rosemead, San Gabriel and Temple City. The typical bag or box of groceries include canned goods, dry boxed foods, meats, dry milk, cereal and other grains. People may apply for food one time per month. The program works in conjunction with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. There are no geographic restrictions.

Application Procedure
Walk in to apply. Picture ID with a date of birth and proof of income are required. The applicant can authorize someone to pick up their food every month if they bring that person on their first visit. Participants are advised to bring a grocery push cart to carry their groceries home.

There are no fees for services.
