Specialized Information and Referral

The agency provides substance use disorder services primarily for San Gabriel Valley residents. Services include alcohol use disorder education/prevention, central intake/assessment for alcohol use disorder, central intake/assessment for drug use disorder, drug use disorder education/prevention, drug/alcohol testing, specialized information and referral, and substance use disorder counseling. There are no geographic restrictions.
Services include anger management, community education and prevention, and assistance with paper work for court-referred drinking drivers and referral to the appropriate program.
Outpatient programs include substance use disorder counseling for adults, age 18 and older, and adolescents, age 10 to 18. Counseling services include individual, group, and family counseling. Services are also provided for court-referred individuals. Anger management programs are not restricted to substance abusers; anyone from the community may attend the sessions.
Community education and prevention services include Sunrise, an alcohol education program used in schools for children in grades fourth through sixth, and Sunset, an education program presented for and by seniors. Other education and prevention services include a speakers bureau, films, and lectures.
