Relocation Assistance
Provider: CALIFORNIA STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - DISTRICT 7 - LOS ANGELES AND VENTURA COUNTIES
The program provides relocation assistance for individuals, families, and businesses who have been displaced by state highway development projects. Services include relocation assistance, transportation for displacees and financial assistance to displacees who meet state and federal eligibility requirements.
The agency only reimburses the mover for a distance of 50 miles. The displacee is responsible for the difference in moving costs for any distance over 50 miles, unless an exemption is requested and approved prior to the move.
