Advocacy committees work to advance public policies involving decriminalizing mental illness, jail diversion, supportive housing, reentry support, expanding the mental health work force, conservatorship, crisis intervention training for law enforcement, improving circumstances between homelessness and mental health, and increasing public funding and private insurance coverage of mental health services. The organization encourages members of the public interested in mental health advocacy to join monthly Advocacy Committee Meetings.
