The department provides law enforcement services for the city of Hermosa Beach. Services include animal control, abandoned vehicle reporting, crime prevention, law enforcement complaints, municipal police, and temporary restraining order assistance services. The service area is restricted to the city of Hermosa Beach.
Temporary restraining order assistance is provided on a short term (72 hrs), emergency basis only. Regular TROs must be applied for at a Superior Court location.

In an emergency, call 9-1-1. Call or walk in for non-emergency services or for information. Police reports can be obtained online or in person; only authorized individuals may request a copy.
