Ex-Offender Halfway Houses
Provider: MASS LIBERATION
The agency provides ex-offender services for individuals who were formerly incarcerated and living in the South Bay area. Services include ex-offender halfway houses and ex-offender reentry programs. There are no geographic restrictions.
Services are provided through the agency's Community Learning Center that offers classroom and online courses in four core areas: Healthy Relationships, Total Wellness, Personal Finance and Responsible Citizenship. Participants learn the basic skills that will help them transition and succeed in employment and housing. Upon course completion, individuals continue to work with a "Citizen Coach" who has lived experience, to set goals.
A transitional living home is also available for individuals who have served longer prison terms; the maximum length of stay is six months. The house features individual rooms, several common areas, recreational backyard space and on-site laundry; limited parking is available.
