Inmate Support Services

The organization provides inmate services, primarily in Northern and Central California, and national awareness and leadershlp on inmate and family support programs through its newsletter and website. Services include ex-offender reentry programs, inmate support services and parent support for familes of ex-offenders and inmates.
The organization was influential in starting many of the services now provided to prisoners, such as visitor centers at San Quentin and eventually at 33 state prisons. Current projects focus on health, family re-integration as a part of re-entry, youth courts, risk reduction, and support for incarcerated and post-release mothers.
A newsletter and website promote the organization's efforts; staff will answer questions and accept volunteer assistance.
