Occasional Emergency Food Assistance
CORONAVIRUS ACCESS NOTE: In order to comply with social distancing requirements, all food pickups are drive through and by appointment only.
The center provides emergency food for people, including homeless people and immigrants who live in zip codes 90605 and 90606. Services include ongoing and occasional emergency food assistance through the center's Food Pantry program. There are geographic restrictions.
The food program consists of a box of groceries, including staple foods and canned goods. People may apply once a month. The amount of food varies with family size. Infant formula and baby food is sometimes available depending on donations. Special food items are available for homeless individuals who have no cooking facilities; special diets can sometimes also be accommodated.
