Child Health and Disability Prevention Exams

The clinic provides health services for low-income people without health insurance of all ages in Los Angeles County, including those who are homeless. Some services are targeted, but not restricted, to the Spanish-speaking community. There are no geographic restrictions.
Health clinic services include acupuncture, family planning, pediatrics, EKG's and STD testing and treatment. Family planning services include contraception education and counseling as well as prescribing or dispensing birth control methods and supplies. Mammogram screening and pregnancy testing is also provided. Pediatrics include immunizations and the Child Health and Disability (CHDP) Program.
CHDP provides regular, preventive health assessments and developmental assessments for children from birth to age 21 who are Medi-Cal eligible and for children from birth through age 18 whose family income is less than 200% of the federal poverty level. The check-ups are offered at set intervals and may include the required Head Start or State Preschool and pre-first grade exams.
Tattoo removal is also available. Service is limited to visible tattoos only. Participants are required to complete 30 hours of community service before the procedure.
