The Stewart and Lynda Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital (RNPH) provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and treatment services for people of all ages from any area and also provides specialized services for people who have developmental disabilities. RNPH at UCLA is divided into the Adult Psychiatry, Geriatric Psychiatry, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry programs. Each division has inpatient, partial hospitalization, and outpatient components. In addition, specialized clinics operate in coordination with the main components. For information about specific services, see the separate RNPH at UCLA entries. There are no geographic restrictions.
Specialized evaluation and treatment programs are available for people who have a variety of illnesses and conditions which have neuropsychiatric components including depression, mood disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, phobias, seizure disorders, schizophrenia, eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia, intellectual disability, neurobehavioral problems, psychosomatic illnesses, sexual disorders, autism, anxiety disorders, behavioral disorders, hyperactivity and attention problems, as well as serious psychopathology, and problems specifically related to aging.
The Access Center is designed to provide patients, families and professionals with a central resource to facilitate referrals to RNPH at UCLA programs and therapists. Access provides information about all of the inpatient, partial hospitalization and outpatient psychiatric services for children, adolescents and adults provided by the Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital at UCLA. The purpose of the Access program is to provide information about and coordination with the services provided by RNPH for people of all ages and to assist patients, parents and professionals in the selection of the best method of treatment.
