Adolescent/Youth Counseling
Provider: LOS ANGELES UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT - MENTAL HEALTH CENTER - SAN FERNANDO VALLEY
The center provides mental health evaluations and supportive services, as needed, for Los Angeles Unified School District students who live in the San Fernando Valley who have been referred because of emotional and behavioral problems which affect their school performance. After an evaluation, the center formulates a treatment plan involving existing community mental health and educational facilities, and coordinates with parents and school personnel. As part of a case plan, parenting skills classes may also be offered as well as individual and family counseling.
