Gynecology Services

Provider: LOS ANGELES COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH SERVICES - EL MONTE COMPREHENSIVE HEALTH CENTER

The center provides family planning services for people who live in the San Gabriel Valley area. Services include abortions, contraception, gynecology services, pregnancy testing, prenatal care, STD screening and STD treatment. There are no geographic restrictions.

Abortion services are confidential and may include medication abortion and procedure abortion. Information and support is available through the center's CARE121 line.

Counseling, education and access to birth control, including emergency contraception, is available. Income eligible indviduals may qualify for family planning services under the Family PACT program.

Application Procedure

Call to apply. Appointments are required for dental service and a waiting list is available. The (800) Appointment number is a Countywide number for four comprehensive health centers: Roybal, Hudson, El Monte, and LAC USC Medical Center. Menu options for each center are given. Proof of residence is required to receive and apply for low cost programs. Patients living outside of Los Angeles County with third party medical coverage but not assigned to a provider, will also be seen.
