Long Term Care Ombudsman Programs

The agency provides a Long Term Care Ombudsman Program for residents of San Bernardino County, including the communities of Joshua Tree, Ontario, San Bernardino and Victor Valley.

The Long Term Care Ombudsman Program provides advocacy, and investigates complaints made by or on behalf of residents of licensed long-term care facilities, such as skilled nursing facilities, residential care facilities for the elderly and transitional care units. Trained and state-certified volunteer staff can also witness Advanced Health Care Directives for residents in skilled nursing facilities; make regular visits to offer assistance; and can provide community education on elder care issues.
