Perinatal Substance Use Disorder Treatment (Abused Women)

The agency provides residential treatment for substance use disorders for women, age 18 to 53 and their children under age 10, in the San Gabriel Valley area. Services include perinatal drug use disorder treatment, residential alcohol use disorder treatment facilities and residential drug use disorder treatment facilities. Not all sites accept children. There are no geographic restrictions.

The residential program accepts pregnant and postpartum women, women with histories of trauma or domestic violence, women with co-occurring mental health disorders, women with history of traumatic brain injury (must be medically stable), women with open child abuse cases, and women with criminal justice involvement.

The program includes individual and group counseling, alcohol, drug and HIV/AIDS education, crisis intervention, drug free treatment, parenting instruction, vocational rehabilitation, and information and referral to community services. The usual length of stay is 90 days; pregnant women or women with criminal justice involvement typically stay 120 days to six months. After the residential stay, clients are transferred to intensive outpatient treatment to continue services through completion.

The program also provides residential substance use disorder treatment for young adults from 18 years of age through its Pomona Adolescent Outpatient center.
