Recreational/Leisure/Arts Instruction
Provider: CITY OF ALHAMBRA PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT
The department provides a variety of recreational, educational and community services for people of all ages who live in Alhambra and surrounding communities. Programs include leisure classes for tots, youth and adults including dance, gymnastics, tennis, home arts, physical fitness and yoga; trips and excursions; community gardens; youth sports leagues and activities; afterschool play ground recreation programs; aquatics; and adult sports. The department operates and maintains park areas, one indoor gymnasiums, two outdoor pools, and a municipal golf course. Special services are offered for seniors at the Joslyn Adult Center (see the separate entry).
