Preschools

The center provides comprehensive child care services, including infant care for babies, age nine months to 24 months, a preschool for toddlers from age 3 to 5 years, and an extended day care program for ages 5 through 12 years. The child care programs primarily serves people who live in the San Gabriel Valley, however, extended day care services are restricted to students in the Duarte School District.

The centers offer a curriculum that is developmentally appropriate for each age group and which utilizes a variety of types of activities to encourage growth, and provides an enriching curriculum which prepares children for school in the areas of writing, reading, math and science. Other activities for children enrolled at the center include a summer swimming program and field trips for the extended day care. The program serves children of all races, religions, backgrounds, and income levels. It accepts children who have physical, mental, or emotional disabilities if they are able to function in a group setting. There is a California State Preschool program for low-income families that qualify.

There is one teacher for every four infants or toddlers and one teacher for every eight preschoolers. The program includes a breakfast, a hot lunch, and a snack.
