Kinship Care Subsidy Programs

The agency provides family support services for relative caregivers in the Santa Clarita valley area. Services include kinship caregiver support groups, kinship care subsidy programs; and parenting education, social clubs/events and specialized information and referral for kinship caregivers. Services are restricted to residents of Agua Dulce, Canyon Country, Castaic, Granada Hills, Lake View Terrace, Mission Hills, North Hills, San Fernando, Santa Clarita and Saugus. Support is available to relative caregiver families, with the goal of enhancing and promoting permanency, safety and reduced reliance on foster care as a placement option. Services may include advocacy, consultation with social workers, limited one-time financial assistance, recreational and respite opportunities.
