Family Child Care Homes
Provider: HOME-SAFE A DIVISION OF VISTA DEL MAR CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES
The Family Child Care Network program provides day care in a network of licensed family child care homes for children from birth to age 5 whose parent(s) work or are in vocational training or are at risk for child abuse/neglect. There are geographic restrictions for service. To qualify, a person must live or work within the services area, which is restricted to zip codes 90004, 90018, 90019, 90028, 90029, 90036, 90038, 90046, 90048, 90069.
The program primarily serves parents who work or are in vocational training and meet income eligibility guidelines. The homes care for 8 to 14 children each and are designed to provide an extended family atmosphere for the child and parent. Parent education, individual and group counseling, family-oriented social activities, holiday celebrations, and referrals to other community resources are available for program families.
