Service Learning Programs

Provider: FRIENDS OF THE LA RIVER

The organization provides education services for students in grades three through 12 in Los Angeles County. Services include service learning programs focused on watershed conservation and improvement. There are no geographic restrictions.

Students learn about the Los Angeles River's history with an emphasis on how human behavior impacts the region's natural and built environments. The STEM based program meets grade level objectives and California State Standards as well as California's Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
