GED/High School Equivalency Test Sites

The adult school provides adult education services to adults age 18 and older who live in Antelope Valley. Services include adult basic education, adult high school diploma programs, citizenship education, community adult schools, computer and related technology classes, continuing education, English as a Second Language, GED instruction, GED test sites, graduation requirements program, and vocational education. Services are restricted to the Antelope Valley High School District.

Classes include algebra, economics, English, health, history, math, reading, science, spelling, vocabulary, and writing. People may also work toward a high school diploma. In addition, the school offers classes to pass the GED and is also an official testing center for the GED test. GED test is given approximately twice a month.

The school also offers classes to prepare for the US citizenship test. Classes are also given for adults to learn English as a Second Language (ESL) in beginning, intermediate and advanced levels. Day or evening classes are available.

For career technical education the school offers program certificates in medical assistant; medical biller and coder, administrative secretary; general office clerk; and pharmacy technician. Classes include medical terminology; front and back office; introduction to computers; keyboarding; word; excel; publisher; PowerPoint; office skills; medical billing and coding; and pharmacy technician.

The community education program is subject to change each session, call for information. Classes are held at various community locations in Lancaster and Palmdale.
