Formula/Baby Food
Provider: CATHOLIC CHARITIES OF LOS ANGELES - BROWNSON HOUSE COMMUNITY SERVICES CENTER
This agency provides emergency food assistance for people who live in Los Angeles County. Applicants must have incomes at or below the federal poverty guidelines. The program serves people who are homeless or who receive TANF or other types of assistance. Services are targeted, but not restricted, to the Spanish-speaking community. There are no geographic restrictions.
The agency provides a bag of groceries that contains a three to four day supply of USDA food items, canned and packaged dried goods, including powdered instant milk. Baby food is sometimes available. The amount of groceries varies with family need and size. People may apply for emergency food once every 30 days. Homeless people or those who have nowhere to cook may come for special no cook food twice a month. Clients also have access to donated clothing.
