Arts and Crafts Instruction (Youth)

The agency provides recreational programs, including college level arts education, to middle and high school students. Services include arts and crafts instruction, dance instruction, music instruction, painting instruction, photography instruction, and writing instruction. There are no geographic restrictions. The Community Arts Partnership Program (CAP) courses are taught by CalArts faculty and students. All classes and workshops culminate in performances, exhibitions, concerts and screenings. Classes and workshops are taught at various locations throughout Los Angeles County including the Armory Center for the Arts, Inner-City Arts, My Friend's Place, Plaza de la Raza, San Fernando Gardens Community Service Center, Santa Clarita Valley Boys & Girls Clubs and Watts Towers Art Center. CAP students admitted to CalArts after completing high school qualify for CAP scholarships.
