Family Preservation Programs

The agency provides family preservation services for families needing support and those who are involved with the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) and living San Gabriel Valley area. Services include family preservation programs. Services are restricted to residents of SPA 7.

The agency contracts with DCFS to provide Prevention and Aftercare services for families involved with DCFS, as well as those who are self referred, who are living in SPA 7. The program provides activities, resources and supports such as family fun nights and parent-child or family-centered activities, parenting education classes, financial literacy instruction and peer support groups. Staff may provide home visits; families may be linked to additional resources including health and mental health care, educational and vocational services and legal services, as needed. Concrete support for basic family needs such as clothing, food, household furnishings, school supplies, utilities, housing assistance, transportation and minor repairs may also be available.
