Tuberculosis Clinics (Low Income)

The center provides public health services which include the treatment and control of communicable diseases to assist in disease prevention for people of all ages in Los Angeles. Services include childhood immunizations, contraception, disease/disability specific screening/diagnosis, health education, HIV post and pre exposure prophylaxis medication, immunizations, pap tests, public clinics, sexually transmitted disease screening and treatment, tuberculosis screening and tuberculosis clinics. There are no geographic restrictions.
Public health centers do not provide general medical care.
Contraception methods available include male and female condoms, pills, patch, injection and sponge. Emergency contraception pills are also available.
A nurse only clinic provides immunizations including childhood immunizations, and Covid-19 vaccines, flu vaccines and Monkeypox vaccines for adults and children. Monkeypox testing and treatment is also available.
STD services include screening and treatment for gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, HIV, trichomoniasis, yeast/candidiasis, bacterial vaginosis and herpes, as well as HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis medication (PrEP) and Post Exposure Prophylaxis medication (PEP). Exams for genital warts and pelvic inflammatory disease are also available.

Call or walk in to apply. The nurse only clinic accepts a limited number of walk-ins per day. Limited same-day appointments may be available for PrEP and PEP services
Fees vary; Medi-Cal and Medicare are accepted. There is a $15 vaccine administration fee per patient for each visit to the Nurse Only Clinic and $30 for families of two or more; there are no fees for Medi-Cal patients.
