Swimming Instructor Volunteer Opportunities

The agency provided volunteer opportunities to individuals living in Bellflower, Lakewood, Long Beach, Los Alamitos, Seal Beach and Torrance. Services include clerical volunteer opportunities, crafts volunteer opportunities, field trip volunteer opportunities, fund raising volunteer opportunities, meal preparation/serving volunteer opportunities, mentoring services volunteer opportunities, recreational activities volunteer opportunities, setup/cleanup volunteer opportunities and swimming instructor volunteer opportunities.

Volunteer opportunities are available in the agency's After School Program and Adult Day Program. The After School Program provides services for children and young adults who are between the ages of 6 and 21. The Adult Day Program provides services for individuals who are over 18 years of age. The agency also offers opportunities in office support and special events.

Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and provide proof of TB clearance. The agency provides basic orientation and training, however, volunteers are not provided, or expected to seek, any special training or take and pass any tests. The agency does complete criminal background checks. Volunteers are not expected to commit to a certain set length of service, or to a set numbers of hours per week.
