The agency is a community action group that provides public education and advocacy on a variety of issues related to world peace and social justice. Services include children's rights groups, constitutional/civil rights groups, human relations groups, hunger/poverty action groups, immigrant rights groups, international understanding/peace programs, police/community relations groups, political action/lobbying groups, public awareness/education and system advocacy. There are no geographic restrictions.

The agency does not provide direct services to individuals.

The committee is primarily involved in policy changes and public education. The committee currently focuses on issues related to immigration, racism, military law, problems of youth and people living on low incomes, criminal justice, the Middle East and Asia and the Pacific Islands.
