Transitional Housing/Shelter

The agency provides transitional shelter services for single women and female veterans ages 30 to 60, however women ages 18 to 29 may also be accepted. Services include transitional housing/shelter. There are no geographic restrictions.
The program is referred to as "Transformational Housing" and can accommodate nine individuals in a shared room setting. This is not an Emergency Shelter. The shelter can not accommodate people in wheelchairs. The maximum length of stay is two years. Residents are required to abide by house rules, curfew time and assist with chores. The program provides bedding, linen, kitchen, bathroom and laundry facilities. Residents provide their own food and must be looking for a job or attending school.
Supportive services include employment preparation, job training, health and nutrition classes, goal setting classes, and financial empowerment classes. Employment training is also available by conference call or online.
Qualified applicants must meet financial and medical clearance guidelines as well as submit an essay of their goals during the program duration.
