The program provides child care for children 5 years and under who live in Central Los Angeles and in the South Bay area. Services include child care centers and preschool day treatment. Services are provided at four locations. Age requirements apply for some services; there are no geographic restrictions.
Child care services include day care through a network of licensed homes for children age 6 weeks to 5 years who are at-risk for abuse or neglect whose parents are in school, training, or are employed. The program includes parent education and support services for day care providers. The program also works with families who have been court-ordered; parenting education is involved as well.
