Social Clubs/Events (Disabilities and Health Conditions)

The agency provides recreational programs for people of all ages in Los Angeles County. Services include parks and recreation areas, physical fitness, recreational activities/sports, social clubs/events, swimming/swimming lessons, and team sports/leagues. Services are targeted to Bellflower residents, however, there are no geographic restrictions.

Recreational activities include classes in aerobics, weight training, karate and swimming; sports leagues; use of a weight room and special events.

The department also provides special classes and recreational activities for people who have disabilities and for senior citizens. The activities for seniors include a club, recreation, and social events. The activities for people who have disabilities include special swim times for people who have developmental disabilities, and the SHARE program which offers sports, socials, swimming, square dancing, and after school activities for teens and adults who have physical or developmental disabilities including autism and learning disabilities.
