Provider: NATIONAL HUMAN TRAFFICKING RESOURCE CENTER (NHTRC)
The agency is a human rights group that provides assistance for people who have been forced to engage in commercial sex or forced to work against their will, including those who have been brought here from other countries. Services include a human trafficking hotline, human rights groups, organizational consultation/technical assistance, public awareness/education, group advocacy and specialized information and referral. There are no geographic restrictions.
The mission of the NHTRC is to improve the systemic response to protect and serve victims of human trafficking in the U.S. We aim to fulfill this goal through the dissemination of innovative anti-trafficking trainings and materials to community members and field practitioners as well as round-the-clock access to a safe space to report tips, seek services, and ask for help.
The NHTRC hotline provides 24-hour safe, secure, and confidential access to anti-trafficking services, crisis assistance, tip reporting, technical assistance on a range of topics, and information on human trafficking and opportunities to engage with local anti-trafficking efforts. Services are available free to anyone, anywhere in the U.S. and U.S. territories including victims of human trafficking, law enforcement, service providers, government agencies, community members, and anyone seeking information and resources on human trafficking. Callers can speak with NHTRC call specialists in more than 200 languages.
The hotline also provides training and technical assistance to support and strengthen local anti-trafficking infrastructure and the nationwide response to human trafficking.
