Immigrant Visa Application Filing Assistance

The library provides immigration services for people of all ages in Los Angeles. Services include citizenship assistance centers and immigration visa application filing assistance. All information is confidential. There are no geographic restrictions; however, services are not available for individuals outside of California.

Assistance is provided through the library's New Americans Centers which are located inside six library sites. Welcome stations are set up to offer in-person assistance, study materials and general information and support. Staff can assist with green card applications and renewals, DACA renewals, work permit renewals, family reunification issues, residency conditions, and Freedom of Information Act Requests.

The library also provides workshops on a variety of topics including guardianship, housing rights, financial stability and small business support.
