Sexual Assault Volunteer Opportunities

This is a human rights organization that works to end human trafficking, sexual exploitation and violence of women in the United States. Services include drop-in centers, human trafficking prevention, outreach programs, public lectures/discussion, a sexual assault shelter, subject specific public awareness/education, and volunteer opportunities. There are no geographic restrictions.

The Resource and Drop In Center is a safe place for women to receive support. It provides resources and information for their physical, mental and emotional needs. Also provided are hygiene products, clothing and a hot meal.

The Road to Freedom program is designed to create self-sufficiency among survivors of human trafficking/sexual exploitation and reduce the recidivism rate of returning to that life. The program provides street outreach, a diversion program for incarcerated victims, reentry/post release services and referral to community resources.

Rachel's House of Healing is a residential program for victims of human trafficking and sexual exploitation who are 18 years of age and older. It is located in San Bernardino. It is a safe place for victims to heal from the abuse and trauma. Services provided include counseling, chemical dependency education, anger management and job training. Residents are paired with mentors to assist them with setting goals while providing emotional and mental support.

Public awareness and education about human trafficking is provided through lectures/discussions and training workshops. Information and education is also available online at the agency's website.

Volunteer opportunities are available for individuals with experience in sexual assault, human trafficking or other types of sexual abuse.
