Adoption Support Volunteer Opportunities

The agency provides adoption services for people of all ages and ethnic and religious backgrounds in Los Angeles and surrounding counties. Services include domestic and international adoption, special needs adoption, adoption counseling, adoptive family recruitment, embryo adoption, adoptive home studies, pregnancy counseling, and volunteer opportunities. There are no geographic restrictions.
Services include educational and counseling programs for couples who are considering adopting a child; placement of children for open adoption; and post-adoption counseling for birth parents, the adoptee and adoptive parents who need assistance to deal with adoption-related issues. Prospective adoptive parents must complete a home-study which screens the couple and helps prepare them for parenthood. Special support is provided for couples who adopt a child with special needs.
The Snowflakes Program helps couples adopt and donate frozen embryos. Prospective adoptive parents must complete a home-study which screens the couple and helps prepare them for parenthood. Ongoing support is available for adoptive parents.
The agency also offers counseling for pregnant girls and women who are considering the options of abortion, adoption and single-parenting.
