Provider: HARRIETT BUHAI CENTER FOR FAMILY LAW

The agency provides volunteer opportunities to individuals living in Los Angeles County. Services include legal services volunteer opportunities. There are no geographic restrictions.

Additionally, volunteers are encouraged to participate in continuing education seminars on topics like paternity, dissolution, and legal practice and procedures. Agency staff and invited attorneys teach the training classes. Volunteers are not required to take any tests. The agency does complete background checks with the State Bar of California. New volunteers are asked to commit to either 50 hours of volunteer service over a twelve month period, handling one case in its entirety or limited scope representation for two cases; mentors are available.
