Provider: NORTHEAST VALLEY HEALTH CORPORATION - VAN NUYS HIV AND ADULT DIVISION

The agency provides HIV/AIDS services primarily for people who live in the San Fernando Valley. Services are targeted, but not restricted, to the Latino/Hispanic community; they include case management, HIV testing and an early intervention program for people who are HIV. There are no geographic restrictions.

The early intervention clinic serves people who are newly diagnosed as HIV positive. Services include advocacy, case management, clinical assessments, dental care, health education and screening, medical care, pharmaceutical treatment, public benefits counseling, and referrals for other services. Supportive services include transportation. Mental health services are also available and include individual, family, group, and support group counseling. Dental services include examinations, cleaning, fillings, simple extractions, and x-rays. The center enrolls patients for the AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP), which provides FDA-approved HIV-related drugs at little or no cost to those who are eligible; call for more information.
