The center provides services for adults age 50 and older who live in the Pasadena area. Services include educational, health, recreational activities, social services, specialized information and referral, and volunteer opportunities. Age and income based restrictions may apply, but vary according to service. Geographic restrictions apply for some services.

Social services offers to low income seniors case management; monthly food distribution; taxi vouchers and bus fare and other programs. The center also provides specialized information and referral to services for older adults.

Home bound services include monthly food delivery; taxi vouchers (to low income apartments); daily telephone reassurance calls; and monthly home tea cards.

Health related services include hearing and vision programs, caregiver support groups, bereavement support groups and monthly health fairs.

Other services include legal aid; mediation; podiatry; congregate meals; monthly AARP Smart Driver Courses; weekly educational class series (such as fall prevention, memory loss, healthy living, Parkinson's Disease, etc.); and income tax preparation.

The center offers a variety of classes each week on a quarterly basis including recreational, arts and crafts, art, music, dance, computer and ESL classes; membership is required for most classes. The center has a billiard room, dance studio, library with computers and a lounge with a piano. It also has a fitness center which is available to members for an additional fee. The center publishes a monthly newsletter which is available to members. The agency's web site also has information on monthly programs as well as resources and referral information.

The center recruits, trains and uses volunteers ages 18 and older in its own day-to-day activities and in the community. Volunteers receive training and are supervised by center professional staff. Volunteers may also donate their time on an occasional basis for a special event.
