Energy Conservation (Low Income)

The agency provides home improvement services for low-income families who own their own homes in Los Angeles County. Services include energy conservation and residential energy/water conservation devices through the installation of solar panels. Income restrictions apply; there are no geographic restrictions.
To be eligible, families must own and reside in their own home and have a total household income of 80% or less of the area median income.
In addition:
Southern California Edison customers must also live in a residence defined as "affordable housing" under California Public Utilities Code 2852.
Department of Water and Power (DWP) customers must also live within a "disadvantaged community" identified by the California Environmental Protection Agency (Cal/EPA); based on geographic, socioeconomic, public health and environmental hazard criteria.
