Administrative Entities (Veterans)

The agency provides services for veterans, their family members, and active military members in Los Angeles County and throughout the United States. Services include administrative entities, directory/resource list publications, specialized information and referral and veteran benefits assistance. There are no geographic restrictions.
Direct services are provided through Local County Veterans Service Offices (see Los Angeles County Department of Military and Veteran Affairs). The agency will help qualified individuals apply for both state and federal benefits, including disability compensation, pension, education, home loans, life insurance, dependents college fee waiver, and other benefits for which they are eligible.
The California Veterans Resource Book provides information and a wide variety of services and benefits available to California veterans and their families. It is available to view online or download at Calvet Veterans Resource Guide
Specialized information and referral is provided in the form of referrals to housing, food, employment, education, financial and other resources. These resources can be found on the website or by contacting the agency and being connected to a Local Interagency Networking Coordinator (LINC).

Fees
Most benefits are free; although there are fees for some benefits. There is no fee for the California Veterans Guide.
